A few Words About Me

My name is David Staudte (pronounced Stout-ee). Around 1992 I started an apprenticeship at a guitar repair shop (now defunct) in Denver, CO. The Guitar Clinic was owned and operated by Keven Soll, a luthier who graduated from Red Wing School of Luthery in MN. It became a two man operation after I arrived.

Five years later in 1997 I relocated to San Diego, CA where I landed a job at a small company named Taylor Guitars. Most of my 24 year tenure there was spent in the Repair Department, although the last few years were in Product Development working with a world famous luthier and designer.

2021 has brought us to New Braunfels, TX. My family and I love it here, and I look forward to providing my services and years of experience to the local guitar players.
